Frame Your Own Staging Frames
Staging frames is an art that is quite technical in nature.
And, it’s good to have an experienced professional to help you through this aspect of your interior design. But, what you don’t need is a carpenter standing behind you staring at the framework of your wall and wondering if he is really in his right mind. Here are a few tips on how to deal with your own framing frames.
Have you ever tried to see what happens on different levels of your framing?
It can be quite difficult if you are not used to it. This is actually part of the design aspect of what you should do.
If you’re building a house, you might want to go for a more traditional approach, where you follow a plan that has been around for a while. But, if you’re doing a modern design, it might be best to take a slightly different approach.
When building a house, especially if you’re doing it yourself, it is best to go for an all-plastic structure, so that you can achieve a very solid look, rather than the use of blocks that are light and look cheap. Some of the better-painted ones have been known to crack, so it is best to go for the heavy metal.
On the other hand, when it comes to the structural aspects of your framing, it is recommended that you opt for your old and well-known friend, the three-inch-square plywood board. It gives you plenty of extra room to work on.
Looking at the three-inch boards, the difference between them is very obvious. There are the ‘main’ plywood board, which are supported by the other two, and they make a single support for the framework.
The main plywood board will have the smoothest surface. You can use it to work from, but you need to make sure that it will be sturdy enough to give you that extra support, so you don’t collapse the structure.
Lamination is a great technique that you can use on these kinds of framing. You can laminate the whole frame, or you can simply laminate one side and leave the other one plain.
Before you get started, you need to make sure that you have laid out the framing properly and also that you have the glue or the adhesives in place. This is important because you don’t want to cut corners when it comes to any kinds of framing.
The next step is to put the glazing in place. Some people choose to add sashes to their framing. Other people prefer to use doors.
There are different kinds of glazing for framing, and you need to decide what suits you best. Glass sliders or glass panels are quite popular and can be fitted with the normal frame, but some people like to go for the sliding kind, which make use of two sliders instead of just one.
If you are stuck for ideas, it is a good idea to check out the framing websites. They have lots of different photos of different frames to inspire you.
